Qatar Intermediate Industries Holding Company Limited (Qatar Holding) is a fully owned affiliate of Qatar Petroleum. It was established by an Emiri decree on 29th December of 2005, with a mandate to establish and operate intermediate and other industrial projects, individually or jointly with other partners. At the turn of the 21st Century, there was an economic and social need for intermediate industries in Qatar. Qatar Holding was established to encourage dynamic, market-oriented , local-international partnerships and joint ventures. It now seeks to promote its experience and expertise to a broader array of audience and a vaster client base, thus actively promoting intermediate industrial projects within the State of Qatar.

On behalf of Qatar Holding and myself, I would to convey our profound gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamad BinKhalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar for laying the platform for a prosperous Qatar through his visionary policies and vision. The aim is to develop a State where there is optimal utilization of natural resources. Prior to the year 2005, there was a lack of companies that would lend any kind of support to downstream industries in Qatar. Under the guidance of the Emir of Qatar, and in order to promote the private sector industrial investment in small and medium sized projects, Qatar intermediate industries Limited Company (Qatar Holding) was eventually estabilished as a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum. So that it would prove to be a gateway, a bridge, a guiding force, that facilitates partnerships and investment opportunities.
